Wonderfully simple and tasty, basically a folded pizza 🙂



1 pizza base

For the filling:

1 ball of mozzarella, diced
175g Ricotta
4 tomatoes, diced
100g panchetta, diced
Handful of torn basil leaves
Salt & Pepper to season


Heat an oven to 180 degrees, gas mark 4

In a mixing bowl, combine all the filling ingriedients – mix well

Roll out the pizza base to your desired size an spoon on the filling. lightly brush the edges with olive oil and fold the base in 2, crimp the edges with a fork to seal. Be careful not to over fill the calzone or the base will seperate while in the oven.

line a baking tray with grease proof paper and lightly oil this. Place the calzone on the tray and bake for around 15 minutes.
