Penne al forno con salsa di quattro formaggi


Mega Cheesey! A really quick & simple pasta dish


500g Penne (or whatever pasta you wish to use)
80g butter
200g cream cheese
100g grted chedder
100g gorgonzola
200ml full fat milk
70g grated parmesan
Torn basil leaves to garnish (optional)


Preheat the oven to 180ºc/Gas mark 5.

Cook the penne in boiling water until al dente (keep in mind the penne will be further cooked in the oven).  Once cooked, drain and return to the pan.  Add the butter and stir well.  Add the cheeses aside from the parmesan, then add the milk.  Stir until the penne is well covered and the sauce has a good consistency.

Pour the pasta & sauce into an oven proof dish and sprinkle the parmesan on top.  Add the torn basil leaves if using and season with pepper

Bake for 15 minutes, serve straight away

For illustarion purposes, I have also added some torn slices of salami, but this is also optional.  If you want to use them, add them to the pasta before covering with parmesan.
